New state-of-the-art junior school facilities unveiled at Rouse Hill Anglican College
Primary school students at Rouse Hill Anglican College will benefit from a new state-of-the-art junior school building thanks to $355,000 in funding from the Liberal Nationals Government’s Capital Grants Program.
The new first-class facilities include six kindergarten classrooms, two pre-kindergarten classrooms and a central learning area.
Liberal Senator for Western Sydney, Senator the Hon Marise Payne, said the funding was vital in supporting the local community and will provide a collaborative and supportive environment for students to learn.
“This is an important investment in the future generations of western Sydney as our region continues to grow,” Senator Payne said.
“These new facilities are an important addition to the school and will ensure students have world-class facilities to explore and develop their skills.
“The Morrison Government is proud of our contribution to providing first-class facilities to local schools for students to enjoy well into the future.”
Rouse Hill Anglican College Principal, Mr Peter Fowler, welcomed the completion of the new facilities to support increasing capacity and deliver high quality education to local students.
“K Block represents the first stage of construction of the recently approved State Significant Development Application which will allow for the ongoing expansion of Rouse Hill Anglican College to cater for the increasing demand for student places due to the significant population growth in our local area.
“Since the College was established on this site in 2002, the College has grown to a population of 1370 students and developments such as this allow for inspirational and dynamic learning spaces for our students,” Mr Fowler said.
The Government has committed $703 million until 2022 for the Capital Grants Program, which provides funding for non-government schools to improve capital infrastructure.
