Blue Mountains City Council has been awarded $19,016 for the Wollemi Artisan Market and Laneway Activation project under the Morrison Government’s Regional Tourism Bushfire Recovery Grants program.

Five Ex-Service Organisations (ESO) in Western Sydney which provides advocacy services to veterans and their families have received funding as part of the Government’s Building Excellence in Support and Training (BEST) grants program.

Trading conditions, tourism, red tape and local projects are among the topics on which Liberal Senator for Western Sydney, Senator the Hon Marise Payne, is seeking feedback on from local businesses as part of a series of business surveys launched in the Blue Mountains, Hawkesbury and Parramatta.

New grant funding is now available as part of the Liberal-National Government’s $118.9 million Endeavour Leadership Program. 

Liberal Senator for Western Sydney, Senator the Hon Marise Payne, said the funding boost will help Councils fund important local projects.  

Major work on safety improvements along the Great Western Highway between Katoomba and Mount Victoria is set to start following the award of the contract for the essential upgrade. 

It is important that young people have an awareness and understanding of our history to help ensure that we never forget the service and sacrifice made by our service men and women.

The Safer Communities Fund is an Australian Government commitment to keep Australians safe and secure by enhancing the efforts of local councils and community organisations to address crime and antisocial behaviour.  

Under the Western Sydney Infrastructure Plan, the intersection of the Great Western Highway and Ross Street has recieved a much-needed safety upgrade. 

Eight local councils across the future Western Parkland City will share in a $150 million Liveability Program as part of the Western Sydney City Deal.
